Saturday's Walkabout - the Underground Tour

We made it back to Pioneer Square by about 4ish, just in time to buy tickets to the 5pm infamous Underground tour. Having walked all day wasn't enough for us yet...we opted to do a 90 minutes walking/standing tour.

History goes that they didn't take the tide into consideration when Seattle first developed their sewage system...it was quite a mess....and when a great fire burned the city to the ground in the early 1900's, they built the city one level higher than it sits today. As quoted off their site..."While you roam the subterranean passages that once were the main roadways and first-floor storefronts of old downtown Seattle, Tour Guides regale you with humorous stories our pioneers didn’t want you to hear. It’s history with a twist!"Our tour guides were super funny...they definitely have it written out very well to see if everyone is awake and listening! I even shot a few new textures from an old sky light and the moss covered stone retaining walls. I can't wait to try them out!Images aren't too bad considering there was very low light...and these were taken on the iPhone!
