Saturday's Walkabout - The Seattle Sounders

We finished up the Underground tour just in time to go to the Mariners game...but wait we found out that the Seattle Sounders were having their Home opener at Quest stadium. The Sounders were the champions of the USL First Division last year. Tickets were cheaper...and honestly we just wanted the hotdog, beer, and popcorn that goes with this type of event...we didn't really care about the Mariners....sorry Mariners' fans! Not that you can tell very well (again the iPhone) but that white blotch is the ball. The Sounders only use half the stadium...which I found odd...but it was packed with lots of kids and families with blankets to keep warm - out to have a fun family night.

After the game was over, which was super exciting to watch, and the game dog was satisfying, we had to walk back to our hotel...another long few miles away. By the time we got back after 10pm at our hotel...we were beat up. I haven't walked that much in one day in forever! But what a fun day.

more to come for Sunday's walkabout...
