Kate and Eric's Wedding Day

Kate and Eric tied the knot yesterday! The ceremony was held at the Greenhaven Lutheran Church in Sacramento. I attended the rehearsal on Friday night, and Pastor Bill gave an emotional Kate a bit of advice to focus on to help her when walking down the aisle. He said, "First you focus on the Aisle, then the Alter, then on Him (meaning Eric). He said to repeat "Aisle Alter Him" over and over. He had us all laughing. It'll be a mantra I'll make sure to remember!
When we arrived yesterday, Kate had already set out all the decorations - color coordinated in hot pinks, turquoise, and browns. I couldn't resist capturing a ring shot using their bright sparklers.Courtney from Kiss and Make-up, winner of KCRA's recent 2007 A-list competition, worked her make-up magic on Kate, while we photographed her dress (from Bella Donna Bridal) and accessories. Kate had thought of every detail, down to the "bride" flip flops. The result - Kate looked flawless! We headed outside to catch a few shots of the guys. It was fun to watch all the guys help each other pin on their boutonnières! Gavin, one of two best men, brought out a gift from Kate to Eric - a beautiful new watch and a handwritten card. "Roses are red. Violets are blue. It's time to marry you!"The ceremony was beautiful and both Kate and Eric were all smiles as they were pronounced man and wife.We stopped for a few minutes by the lake in Greenhaven to get some outdoor images. I love this one on the pier. The reception was at the Library Galleria in downtown Sacramento. The wedding party waited outside for the arrival of the bride and groom. It was a packed house with almost 300 guests. Kate had personalized M&M's created and their cake looked perfect. I love the little ribbon details Kate added to their initials. We ended the night with toasts, a fun-filled garter ceremony and bouquet toss, and a surprise video presentation created by Kate's sister, Stephanie, which brought on a few tears. I'll leave you with this last image of Kate and Eric as they danced together for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Eric Pohl. You can check out their Sneak Peak on our Clients page by using the password of "Kate_eric". Congratulations Kate and Eric!We worked with a great videography team last night, ProFinish Design. Thanks Travis, Arty and Mike!
