Penny and Glen's Wedding Day

As Vina, the matron of honor, toasted last night - It's about time! Penny and Glen were married yesterday at St. Joseph's Parish in Elk Grove. We met the bride at the home where she was getting ready. Penny had a Demetrios dress and Jimmy Choo shoes that were out of this world, and she looked absolutely flawless. When we arrived to shoot the guys, I told Glen that he looked smashing - but that his bride was even better. :-)Penny's tears streamed down her check as her brother walked her down the aisle to meet Glen. The wedding service contained some traditional elements such as the blessing of coins, and their sponsors coming forward to cover the bride and groom in a veil and to tie a cord around them - binding them together forever.Afterwards, we headed to the Capital park for a few fun photos of the wedding party. Smartly, the guys stopped for a quick In-and-Out snack.Back at the Sheraton and before the reception began, Penny quickly changed into traditional dress so that they, along with many family members, could perform a traditional tea ceremony. Once the reception was in full swing, Robbie (the best man) and Vina gave their toasts. Vina and Penny shared a laugh, a hug, and a few tears.A short childhood memories slideshow followed. This brought everyone into laughter - this time tears were from laughing so hard! You could smell the chocolate from their cake as we took some pictures. And I have to see it was yummy too! Freeport Bakery decorated each chocolate layer with the monogram that matched their stationary. Before their first dance, Penny changed back into to her formal dress - what bride doesn't want to wear her dress as much as possible!Rather than have a guest book, Penny and Glen rented a Redcheese photobooth where guests took their pictures and then wrote a personal note to the newlyweds. At the end of the night we caught Penny and Glen sneaking out of the booth. Congratulations Penny and Glen!
