It would be awesome to say that San Francisco let off fireworks in honor of our anniversary tonight, but sad to say it was just KFOG's Kaboom Festival. More than 7 tons of fireworks were shot off from the bay near Piers 30-32 tonight. The radio station expected more than 350,000 people to line the Embarcadero promenade for the show. Streets were closed and we saw lines of people string from the Ferry Building all the way down to the Giants Stadium in order to get into the pier area. You can see that boats were parked in the bay early in the evening to watch the show too. Of course, we enjoyed the show from the terrace of our hotel room.

The last photo is just a shot of the flowers that the hotel includes when you order room service. I just love these small touches. We enjoyed a pot of coffee and some warm dessert as we watched the firework show.
