Day One - Anniversary Trip

I started out the day sleeping in until 8 o'clock. What a treat! By the time I showered, Cory had breakfast ready and waiting for me with a cup of coffee, and the car was washed and ready to go for our weekend away. We headed into Sausalito to have lunch first. The day was a bit foggy but as you can see, the San Francisco skyline was in perfect view. We, of course, don't travel without at least one camera. Like most tourists, we still like to take pictures of the yachts in the water, the birds in the sky, and the bridges while driving across from inside the car.

We've returned to Hotel Vitale, where a year ago we got married on their terrace overlooking the Bay Bridge. In our room, we had a mid afternoon snack, champagne, and a lovely card from Krysta waiting for us. Krysta is the Senior Event Manager at the hotel and is the absolute greatest ever! She arranged for us to have a room overlooking the same terrace where we exchanged vows last year. Check out our view from our hotel room window. Amazing!

We immediately headed off to walk around the city. Cory had a specific store he wanted to visit, so we looked up the address and headed out. By the time we returned to hotel, we had walked just over 8 miles. How do we know, you ask? cause we're techno geeks and have a portable Garmin (GPS).

We enjoyed a glass of wine with Krysta when we returned. And ate dinner in the wonderful hotel restaurant Americano. The restaurant treated us to a glass of champagne and after our yummy dinner, brought us a dessert sampler of several delicious bites.

We're relaxing in our hotel room now. The bed was dressed up in rose petals - nice touch. And the chocolates on the bedside table with a "Dream" message. "We find what we search for - or if we don't find it, we become it." And on that note, I'll say goodnight.
