Yesterday we headed on up to Colfax, California for Leslie and Grant's wedding day. It was a private residence perfect for such an occasion. As I was in the wedding, Teresa, Cory, and Anne were left in charge. Although as everyone will attest, I couldn't help but pick up a camera now and again. The grounds were immaculate: flowers were everywhere, the pond had huge lily pads (check out the dragonflys), and added touches such as the white doors at the entry of the farm framed the grand entrance for guests arrival.
Their wedding theme was bright and vibrant - Mexican fiesta! Grant and Leslie purchased linens during their last trip to Mexico; catering was from Mexquite; and the decor was abundant of terra cotta pots, limes, lemons, oranges, tomatoes, and peppers of all colors. And believe it or not, all the peppers came from Leslie and Grant's own garden! Their cake, from Freeport Bakery, had frosting that tasted like chocolate doughnuts! YUMMY. And Linda did an awesome job on all the flowers.
Leslie and Grant elected to see each other before the wedding and when we asked them to go cheek to cheek - this is what we got! Such hams, Grant turned around and they bumped "cheeks". The dock overlooked the pond made for a great setting for some relaxed portraits. The bride and groom both looked stunning.
The ceremony was performed by their family priest while all 150 guests watched. Cory caught this awesome shot of the rings being blessed with holy water (see the drops coming off my finger tips!)
We took a few more relaxed shots as it turned into sunset and before everyone partied the night away!
Leslie and Grant are heading to New York and Vermont this week. They are both competitive runners and they are running a 100 mile endurance race while they are on their honeymoon. Congratulations and good luck you two!

Leslie's little sis here - thank you so much for taking such good care of my big sis. The photos are gorgeous!! Can't wait to see more :-)
