We watched a new HBO film with Kevin Bacon in it called
Taking Chance, an official selection of the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.

Based on a true story, "Taking Chance chronicles one of the silent, virtually unseen journeys that takes place every day across the country, bearing witness to the fallen and all those who, literally and figuratively, carry them home. A uniquely non-political film about the war in Iraq, the film pays tribute to all of the men and women who have given their lives in military service as well as their families."

We just happened across this movie last night - and as it turned out last night was the premier. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie. There isn't a huge plot as typical with most war movies and not much of a political message - which was refreshing change. Just a story about one man who died serving his country and his journey home. Keep the Kleenex near by as you'll need it!
