As I was working away today, I received a phone call from Melissa. They were sitting in the airport in Honolulu waiting to try and get a flight home. Their honeymoon was cut short due to an unexpected death in the family. She was calling to ask for family photos from just last weekend's wedding to use at this week's funeral. I held it together long enough to get off the phone, but as I said my goodbyes and told her how sorry I was for their loss I started to choke up. At times like this, one is reminded how precious life is and how much family means.
