Falling Slowly Lyrics

You all know that I try to change up our website music on a regular basis. I try to find songs that not only reflect a "love" sentiment that tends to go with "weddings" and "families", but the songs I select also let you "in" on my personality. It's a way to get to know me before you even meet me. I add songs that I like to listen to and that I sing to while I work. If you've read my bio, you know that I have a bit of a musical background and I believe music is an important part of living. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I thought I'd start sharing the lyrics of the first song on the website when I change it up. You can purchase this song on Amazon for .99 cents. (Yes, I'm a firm believer in buying songs and supporting the arts!)

Falling Slowly - from the motion picture "Once"
Sung by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, lyrics by Glen Hansard

I don't know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can't react
And games that never amount
To more than they're meant
Will play themselves out

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You've made it now

Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can't go back
Moods that take me and erase me
And I'm painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It's time that you won

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You've made it now

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You've made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I'll sing along
