Gosh you know "I DO"!

Cory and I finally tied the knot this last Friday, May 12, 2006! It was a beautiful wedding set in San Francisco with only 16 guests. We had such a wonderful time and everything turned out just amazing.

I just can't help myself to share just a few photos as they turned out amazing. We did a city wide photo shoot the day before the ceremony, so as not to bore our guests. As you can see we went to some very traditional places, as well as some very obsure places. The first photo you see is at the Legion of Honor. If you've never been there you need to go. It's breathtaking at sunset. The picture of the TransAmerica building was taken in a residential neighborhood that our great limo driver, Thomas, recommended.


Those who know me, know that I'm in LOVE with pink these days. So of course, the main wedding colors were hot pink and black, with just a touch of lime green. My sister made pillows for each chair at the ceremony and she made the aisle runner. And my best friend Kerry came up with the idea of making M&M's in our pink and green colors. I didn't even know you could do that!


I'm such a "chick-flick" watcher that I was OBSESSED with coming up with unique movie quotes to leave in our guests' rooms and again on their name placecards at dinner. My ultimate fav movie of 2005 was Hitch!


Once again, another of my crafty friends made unique clothing for teddy bears to go with the pink/green/black scheme. I gave each girl at the wedding a teddy bear. Who doesn't love getting a teddy bear! Are you getting the idea here - I do well at planning stuff ...but I can't make stuff! Well...besides taking photographs and designing albums. Although in my defense, I did come up with all the movie quotes, and I tied the ribbons on the candy boxes!


One last small detail to share with you, again not so traditional, was that we did a black cake. Yes, I said a black cake. Our baker was ecstatic to do a BLACK wedding cake. It fit our personalities well. :-)


Our officiant is a retired Captain, but he wore his dress blues. It was perfect for the setting on the water. The weather cooperated - a bit cold later into the evening, but I couldn't have been happier. It helps to know that natural light is fuzzy warm and beautiful an hour before sunset - hence we planned the ceremony at 6pm.
