The Best Wedding Ever!

While we considered getting married at the court house, I'm so glad that we decided to sneak away to have a small wedding with close friends. I just received the film scans of our wedding from Beth and oh my gosh, I can't help but post just a few more photos! Some traditional photos I've included are our entire wedding party on an antique cable car and another of the San Francisco skyline with the famous Painted Ladies as our backdrop. Some of the not so traditional photos include walking down a residential neighborhood street and a few fun photos of us with our friends, Ashley and Reece, at Fog City Diner.

So many people had a hand in our unique and fun wedding that I feel obligated to say Thank You's to each and every one of you....

We stayed at Hotel Vitale and held the ceremony outside on their 8th floor terrace overlooking the Bay. I can not recommend Hotel Vitale enough - the service was suberb, the food was just scrumptious, and they made the night happen without any glitches. The staff and coordinators at Hotel Vitale are top notch! Cable Car Charters provided us a cable car to take our guests on a little site seeing trip in between the ceremony and dinner. It was Cory's first time on a cable car!

Nancy Liu Chin was our floral designer, based in San Francisco, and what can I say besides "breath-taking". I have never seen such beautiful arrangements of flowers. Cecile Gady, from Cakework in San Francisco, made our topsy turvy mad-hatter style cake.

Beth Baugher of True Love Photo of Sacramento, is my friend and was our primary photographer. We worked her to the bone the day before the ceremony by doing a city wide photo shoot to hit some of the famous and not so famous local spots. Nicole Beaulieu, another of our friends and owner of NJB Photography, had shot our engagement photos the year prior and her husband, Matt, was our 2nd photographer during the ceremony.

I felt like a total bride wearing, not one, but two wedding dresses. One for Thursday's photo shoot designed by Carole Kenney, based in Sacramento, and the 2nd was a Melissa Sweet design from Bella Donna Bridal Salon in Sacramento. My friend Ashley is the owner of Bella Donna Bridal and saved the day by bringing her steamer to press the gowns after they had wrinkled traveling in the warm car.

Stef, owner of Stephanie J Designs, did a beautiful job on our hand-made invitations, placecards, and announcements. I owe a HUGE thank you to Valerie for making all the pink pillows and the aisle runner, and to Rob for making our 80s music mix that played into the night. Another friend, Beth, made all the teddy bears. And Mike Del Campo from Del Campo Dance Studio in Sacramento patiently taught Cory and I how to foxtrot to Frank Sinatra and made our first dance together memorable.

And lastly, I have to thank my orthodontist, Dr. Rollofson, for taking off my top braces just for my wedding! They unfortunately have to go back on. :-( But let's hope we can honeymoon in Hawaii (or any beach will do) before that day comes! I still have to get announcements out to all our family members to let them know we're married now!
